I initially used Gleim for the Certified Internal Auditor Examination (CIA). I would like to provide feedback in regards to the material for the CIA preparation Part I. I did take the test on February 28, 2009 with positive results. The material provided by Gleim contained sufficient information for me to prepare and pass the test. I passed the final part for me.....Part III of the exam yesterday and now I am certified. Used your materials 100% of the way with no other products. Passed all the parts the first time!!!!! It is all hard work and many hours of study but using your test products provided the study plan I needed! The CD-Rom is a must as part of the test kit.

I passed all four parts on my second try with your reviews in 1979. In 1993, I passed the CIA exam on my second try with your reviews. I started out (for part 1 of the CIA) using one of your competitor's materials. I found it to be extremely disorganized and much of it superfluous. In my frustration, I bought the Gleim materials and passed part 1. What a difference! The material is so much better organized for studying and managing your time; and there are so many more test questions to use to help reinforce the concepts. I used only Gleim for part 2 and paid almost two thirds less than what I would have paid your competitor. Needless to say, I am sold on Gleim. If you follow Gleim's comprehensive and integrated methodology to prepare for the CIA exam, you will indeed pass on your first attempt. The various means of delivering content - online, text book, audio CD, and test prep software - both broke up the monotony of studying and reinforced key concepts. The test prep was particularly useful in allowing me to identify areas where I needed additional study time to be able to demonstrate the applied knowledge required to pass the exam.

Just to let you know I passed Part III of the CIA exam. I am now finished with everything for the certification. I was very happy with GLEIM and much better prepared than I was for the 1st 2 parts. Even though I passed the first 2 parts the first time, I didn't feel like the preparation time I had put in with one of your competitor's materials was worth the effort. I only took Part III once also.

I wish the Gleim CD based training and tests were around when I took the CPA exam in 1976. My wife had been a student of Professor Gleim at the University of Florida and still had her CPA Review books that were part of the text used in the Advanced Accounting class. I reviewed these as I could while working my first tax season out of college. I got passing grades in Practice and Auditing, but got scores in the 90's on the Theory and Law parts. I credit that to the CPA review books as I would never have had time to go back through my text books to prepare. In 2004, I was audit director for a major segment of a Fortune 100 company and decided I needed to get my CIA certification. This was during the height of Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing. I used the Gleim CD-based CIA review course, mostly focusing on the sample tests to get used to the types of questions and to make sure I know what I needed to focus on. I managed to pass the exam in my first sitting, getting the "William Smith Award" for one of the top scores on that exam. I really give the credit to the Gleim study materials that were so efficiently designed and on-point that there was little covered on the exam that I was not prepared to answer. I am now Chief Financial Officer for a Georgia-based insurance company and I encourage our CPA's and CPA candidates to use Gleim for their CPE and exam preparation.
