My success with passing my last part on Halloween this year was primarily due to my purchase of Gleim CMA Review material. It helped me with mastering the content and strengthening my time management skills.

I found that if I followed the Gleim program as suggested, I scored very well. In all, I took three parts of the CMA, the first two under the old format and the second part under the new format. I passed each part the first time. Having the CDs, book, slideshow and practice exams gave me so many options for studying, it was extremely helpful. A day or two before each exam I would take a 100 question practice quiz to try to replicate the exam. That seemed to help me manage my time on the actual exam.

Gleim was an essential part of preparing for the CMA examination. I started taking the CMA exam in 2008 and used Gleim study materials for sections 2 and 3 of the prior (4-part) format. After I passed those sections, on the first time thanks to Gleim, I took some time to pass the CPA exam. With the CPA examination passed in June of 2010, I went back to finish the CMA. By this time the IMA had changed exam formats. Gleim was specifically important during preparation for the CMA Transition exam. There is such wide breadth of knowledge required to pass that portion of the exam. I remember being overwhelmed with the content but Gleim broke each area down into their essentials in a way which was easy to comprehend and more importantly, easy to remember during the exam.

I initially used Gleim for the Certified Internal Auditor Examination (CIA). I felt that it was easy to use and was helpful at pointing me in the direction that I needed to study to successfully complete the examination. As a result, I completed every part on the first try. I used Gleim to study for the CMA exam last summer. Putting in about 50-100 hours of study per part I was able to pass each of the four parts on the first try. This is the second professional certification for which I have engaged Gleim. The CMA being my first. When I began preparing for the CMA Exam using Gleim's online system, I questioned some of the ideas that were put forth. I found the idea of doing a 20-question quiz without having studied any of the material to be really odd. I also could not believe the suggested timeline was even possible. I studied the 4 books of Gleim thoroughly and passed all the tests of CMA. Part 1 waived off because I am a CA and an AICWAI from India. Parts 2 & 3, I passed in the first attempt in Nov-07.
