- Identify the study units and/or subunits in EQE Test Prep that coincide with your current assignment. Select
"Cross-References to Textbooks and Pronouncement" from the Tools menu. Then, click on the appropriate link
(e.g., Cross-References to Auditing textbooks) to find the Table of Contents of your textbook and the
cross-references to study units and subunits in the Gleim EQE materials.
- Now you can test yourself in EQE Test Prep Software by following the six steps below. DO NOT omit the step in which you
diagnose the reasons for answering questions incorrectly; i.e., learn from your mistakes while studying so you
avoid making mistakes when taking your exam.
- In test mode, select the study units and/or subunits relevant to your assignment. Create a diagnostic test of 10
to 20 questions before studying your textbook or other materials.
a. Grade the test and create a review session by selecting "Create a new study session from marked questions and
questions answered incorrectly." For each question, analyze and understand why you answered it incorrectly. This
step is an essential learning activity.
- Study your textbook or other materials, including the relevant Gleim Exam Questions and Explanations book.
- Take a 10- to 20-question test in test mode.
a. Again, immediately select the "Create a new study session from marked
questions and questions answered incorrectly" option from your Grade Report so you can
re-answer these questions and analyze why you answered each question incorrectly.
- Repeat step 3 until you approach your target proficiency level.
- Modify the steps to suit your individual learning process. For more information on how to increase your success
on multiple-choice questions, see the "Study Suggestions" section of the Introduction in your Gleim EQE study manual.
