The Gleim Online Communication Course (OCC) is an interactive ground training course designed to increase pilots' safety, knowledge, and abilities in the area of aviation radio communications. From small, uncontrolled airports to the largest Class B airspace areas, OCC gives you practical knowledge that will enable you to not only participate in radio communications, but also to excel in them. OCC is a course that any new student pilot or returning veteran must try. This course is a structured, interactive, self-study review and certificate program delivered via the Internet.

Our audiovisual presentations and Knowledge Transfer Outlines give you all the review material you need in a well-organized format so you can focus your study on the areas you need the most help with. You can then test your knowledge in all aspects of radio communication with a not-for-credit true/false quiz and a final multiple-choice quiz. The Gleim OCC provides you with a convenient way to learn more and refresh your knowledge.

At the completion of the course, you will receive a graduation certificate indicating that you have completed all of the course requirements. Far more valuable, though, are the new skills and confidence you will have gained in communicating over the radio.

The Gleim OCC is divided into six study units. See the Table of Contents for a list of the study units. Each study unit focuses on increasing knowledge of aviation radio procedures through developing aviation phraseology and basic radio skills. The average completion time is 30 - 60 minutes per study unit.

Each study unit contains:

• 10-16 pages of knowledge transfer study outlines
• 10 thought-provoking true/false study questions
• A 10-question multiple-choice quiz
