NTS and Scheduling

CPA Exam candidates must receive their Notice to Schedule (NTS) from NASBA before scheduling each section of the CPA exam. Each Board of Accountancy has specified a time period in which the NTS is valid. The validity period is 6 months except for the jurisdictions listed below. You must schedule and take the registered section(s) within the NTS validity period or all fees will be forfeited. We strongly suggest that you not apply for a section until you are ready to take it.

All jurisdictions have established a six-month NTS validity period, except for the following jurisdictions:

Texas 3 months
California 9 months
North Dakota 12 months
South Dakota 12 months
Louisiana 18 months
