Time Allocation for Task-based Simulations

Manage your time on each testlet so you can complete all four testlets.

Recall that each of the four testlets in AUD, FAR, and REG are independent. There are no time limits on individual testlets. Thus, you must budget your time so you can complete all four testlets within the total time allowed. We believe you should use the following time-allocation suggestions as a guide.

Since AUD and FAR each have a total testing time of 4 hours, we suggest you allocate 90 minutes for the Task-Based Simulation testlet. REG, however, is only 3 hours in length; therefore, you should allocate only 60 minutes for the simulation testlet.

You must also portion out your time for each task within the simulations. AUD and FAR contain seven tasks each. We suggest you spend no more than 13 minutes on each task. REG contains six tasks, so you should not spend longer than 10 minutes on any one of them.
