New Security Measures at Prometric Testing Centers
Prometric will be providing Biometric Identity Management Service to all their clients, including the EA Exam.
The Biometric service includes electronic fingerprinting. Candidates will be required to present a valid driver license as well as an electronic fingerprint when they sign in for the exam.
The new system will allow Prometric to confirm that the person is who they say they are when signing in to the exam and returning to the testing room after a break. This will help prevent fraud as well as save time when candidates return to the testing room from break, as they will not need to sign in but simply submit an electronic fingerprint. The Biometric system will also provide additional information for Prometric if fraud does occur.
This new system should be in effect for the new testing window, which began, May 2008, and will be mandatory. If a candidate refuses to be fingerprinted then they will not be allowed to test.
