Question: My Prometric exam appointment confirmation says that the FAR section is 4.5 hours long and the BEC is 3.5 hours long, but the Gleim CPA books say those exams are 4.0 and 3 hours respectively. Is Prometric wrong or is Gleim wrong?
Answer: Neither Gleim nor Prometric are incorrect. Prometric intentionally adds 30 minutes to the exam time to account for security delays and time spent answering questionnaires before the exam. Regardless of how much time you spend on the pre exam questionnaire you have only 4.0 hours for AUD, 4.0 hours for FAR, 3.0 hours for REG and 3.0 hours for BEC.
