CFI Notes:

Aviation has been a lifelong passion for me. From building and flying model planes with my dad at the Sepulveda Basin Airfield in Van Nuys to taking my first discovery flight, I’ve been enamored with aviation since I was a child. My love for the industry grew exponentially as I began designing and building my own aircraft from scratch. This passion led me to start a business focused on manufacturing parts and components for others pursuing similar work. My goal is to design, build, and eventually fly clean-sheet aircraft. Initially, I pursued a degree in management, which led me into consulting. While I enjoyed the career, I always felt there was more I was meant to do. During the pandemic, I took the opportunity to reflect on my passions, which led me to pursue flight training. I started with a smaller Part 61 school in Torrance, California, where I earned my Private Pilot License (PPL) over the course of a year. Afterward, I switched to ATP Flight School, where I completed the rest of my ratings in just one year. I trained at ATP Long Beach, which is not far from Torrance, so I was familiar with the local airspace. After earning my instructor certificates, I moved to Medford, Oregon to gain experience in a different sector of aviation, and I’m now back in Los Angeles. I truly enjoy helping others discover their love for aviation. In addition to my work as a corporate pilot and flight instructor, I volunteer with the Explore Aerospace program through the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals. This program introduces high school and middle school students to careers in aviation, and it’s a privilege to share the industry with the next generation. Outside of aviation, I’m an avid golfer. I competed in several PGA Junior Tour events and was the captain of my high school team. I received offers to play for university teams but chose to pursue other interests. Later, I became a private golf coach and served as the head coach for my high school team, leading them to an undefeated season and a league championship. To this day, I enjoy playing golf with friends and family.
